Hummingbird ecstasy! Smaller flowers with red sepals and purple corolla, but borne in profusion from summer until frost. The height is 2 1/2 to 3 feet and about the same in width during the growing season for this colorful deciduous shrub.

Culture NotesHardy fuchsias grow best and will flower more in full sun, although light or open shade is okay. The soil should be rich and well-drained and water provided regularly during dry periods or frequent watering for plants in more sun. In the spring watch for the new leaves to emerge and cut back any deadwood. If the winter was particularly cold, this may mean cutting the branches from the previous year to the ground taking care not to break any new shoots that are emerging from the base.
