Culture Notes

Plant in full sun or light to open shade and water occasionally during dry periods once established or regularly to encourage faster growth. The best growing conditions are rich, well-drained soil, but it will tolerate alkaline soils or clay as long as it is drains well. With its uniform, symmetrical growth habit, little pruning, if any, is required. As the tree grows the lower limbs could be pruned if a higher canopy is desired.
