Crocosmia ‘Walrhead’ LITTLE REDHEAD ™

Little Redhead montbretia

Little Redhead crocosmia

Outstanding Qualities

Vivid red flowers with highlights of orange open from buds of dark red purple and a yellow band in mid- to late summer on this hybrid selection of crocosmia. More dwarf at 18 to 24 inches tall than many other cultivars fitting very nicely and bringing a dash of zest into a sunny location in the garden. This clump-forming cultivar, with bright green sword-like foliage, is very well-mannered by not being overly aggressive as some others of its kind.

Culture Notes

Plant the corms in well-drained soil and full sun for the most flowers; however, light shade is okay. Provide regular watering during the dry season.
