Outstanding Qualities

Flower spikes of dark red-purple peppered with tiny mauve blooms are the highlight of this clumping perennial. These are a favorite of hummingbirds, butterflies and bees throughout the summer and early fall. The blue-green leaves are aromatic with a anise or licorice scent.
