- Culture Notes
- Grows best in rich, well-drained soil in light to open shade; morning sun and afternoon shade is excellent. Water regularly – at least once a week – or more frequently for lush, robust plants. This species has evergreen to semi-evergreen foliage which typically looks good through the winter; however, for ease of maintenance cut the leaf stems to the ground in late winter or early spring before the flowering stems begin to emerge.
