Outstanding Qualities

This selection will steal your heart! ‘Bandit’ provides double the delight with a galaxy of pure white starry flowers against a backdrop of grass green foliage with each leaf margin painted a dark maroon. The leaves first emerge almost completely dark red with veins of green and a dark red margin. As they mature, and as the flowers burst forth, the green usurps the center of the leaves and the band darkens to maroon with the entire leaf becoming green by summertime.

Culture Notes
Grows best in rich, well-drained soil in light to open shade; morning sun and afternoon shade is excellent. Dappled to deep shade will greatly reduce flowering. Water regularly – at least once a week – or more frequently for lush, robust plants. This cultivar has deciduous foliage which dies back in autumn and can be cut back any time after that, but be sure to cut the leafy stems to the ground before new foliage and flowers begin to emerge in springtime.
