Culture Notes
Hardy fuchsias grow best and will flower more in full sun, although for this golden-leaved variety some shade from the hot afternoon sun is preferable to prevent foliar burning. The soil should be rich and well-drained and water provided regularly during dry periods. In the spring watch for the new leaves to emerge and cut back any deadwood. If the winter was particularly cold, this may mean cutting the branches from the previous year to the ground taking care not to break any new shoots that are emerging from the base.
