Outstanding Qualities

From the book "A Plant Lover's Guide to Ferns" by Richie Steffen & Sue Olsen is this germane description: "With its lacquered upright winter-green foliage, this fern is truly a highly recommended champion. Look for fronds that persist and sparkle through snowy or dreary gray days of winter as well as the contrasting sultry days of summer. The showy young crosiers are temporarily fleeced with juvinile silver hairs and are among the very last to appear in the spring."
